5021. Began implementing Printwiser Estimating 9.1 to address issues arising from initial review with a client of the Flexible Estimate Spreadsheet upgrade: Letting the user list the specific estimates to be reported on; Correcting a minor issue with copying an estimate to another database; attempting to write standalone DSN in the Windows Registry to Current User while setting up access to a backup database, if Local Machine failed due to security reasons; allowing the last column position number to be reused for the next selection on the flexible spreadsheet; implementing totaling for estimate groups in the spreadsheet.

5032. Completed the main coding for the 9.1 revision of Printwiser, enhancing the estimate group totaling by letting the user specify the columns to be totaled, putting the column selection list in a grid for easier presentation of the column groups (as shown above), and finally calculating and including Materials Cost and Labor Cost items for selection.

5043. Finalized the version 9.1 revision work with testing and code revision and recompiling, updating the chm help file, creating and testing the installers and finally writing the revision notice, later uploading to server and emailing the client the following day.

5220. With SFI’s Bitcoin Satoshi promotion taking off in January came the need for a Bit Bank Ledger for recording the Satoshi or SATs earned by affiliates. We today implemented the Bit Bank Ledger in Gerian, for users to either type in their data or copy and paste it from the Ledger webpages.

5231. We corrected issues with the Bit Bank Ledger’s copied data import in Gerian and imported live data from January for an affiliate, with a total of 11,095 SATs worth about US$3.33. (The SATs balance is shown in the title bar of the Ledger in Gerian.) We also implemented a parent window change to automatically shift focus to the next sheet window if the active one is minimized, which will later apply to our other applications when recompiled, like Printwiser and MoneyBooks.

5264. We made a couple of tweaks to Gerian, relocating the skipping of minimized sheets from the ancestor window’s activate event to the ancestor menu’s Minimize command, then making the beep sound longer on the HIDDEN Form when more than a word matched a clue.
