How do you sustain?

How will you succeed?

Rhetorical and realistic; that’s how these questions sound. But these are not the sounds of music, neither are they the sounds of the trumpet; because the second coming of Jesus Christ is still not within reach. Yes, you have been born; but there are thoughts that want to burn you down. Thoughts about how to keep up, stay up and make up; thoughts that are tough for your mind to compose and comprehend. You still dream, desire and despair; but you have only one life, and no time to spare. You have earned the right to live your life as you want, but money and success still remain hard to earn. Now, some would say; “I have money and success; thus, I have nothing to worry about.” But there is a lot to worry about; in as much as tomorrow remains vague, money and success is an endless pursuit. Nothing is ever enough; not one, not few, for even too much is ever enough. nevertheless, fear not; because the harder you go, the softer it becomes.

Focus! What will you do if you can’t figure yourself out? Everyone cannot get everything, but anyone can get anything; what matters is what you get and how you use it. Then, what do you have? What do you want? Can you use what you have to get what you want? You want to live the life you want; but do you have all it takes, or are you taking your time? When will the time be right? Is there ever a right time; or are you wasting time waiting? You have to be sure. Keep your mind open, and be sure of what you are doing. Yes, you may need help to get what you want; but you may not need help to keep it; because one can lose all they have, the same way they were gotten. Know this and know peace and progress, for there is no help that will ever be greater than the help you give yourself; if you don’t become your own helper, no help you get will ever be enough. Be determined and disciplined, because close is not close enough, till you cross the line; to get going, you must make a move. Tell yourself, “what are you waiting for?” What you seek is not a secret to you, so, you must be serious about it; if you want to succeed and remain successful.

To survive, you must. Yes, you have been given life freely; but you must pay to stay alive. No success without stress; what’s the essence of the suffering if there’s no salvation? Growing up, your parents, guardians or wardens helped in solving all, if not most of your problems; and those selfless helps made living life easy for you. I know some would still complain that living life was hard then; but you can’t tell the difference, till you live alone. Bills alone are enough to make anyone go bananas, because they never stop coming; whether you like it or not. In fact, it seems as if we are here on earth to pay bills, till we have our last hospital bills paid for us in our absence. Now you see, living life was not meant to be easy, neither was it meant to be hard; but what you get is what you give. Suicide is a sin against the self. Why won’t anyone strive to survive, even if the struggles are strong? Why would you allow your struggles to be stronger than you? Are you weak, or is it your mind that is weak? Whatever that happens, happen for some reasons; but giving up cannot be one of them. The wild is worst, yet some worms survive; and there are enough preys for the predators. Preys are born the same time preys die; thus, there can never be scarcity of preys; and some predators equally prey on other predators. Survive, for that is the first animal instinct; you are just a higher animal.

After survival is sustenance. Come rain, come shine; you must keep going. Don’t let social media fool you, for not all smiling faces are without suffering; success don’t mean absence of suffering. A man can be successful academically, but broke in real life matters; just as a wealthy man can be struggling with wisdom. Some are successful on the outside, but sick inside; yet they smile through the suffering because of success. Many are sustaining and many are complaining, the equilibrium is not really equal; for what you think is worse could actually be safer. Thus, don’t conclude that yours is the worst-case-scenario; until you have heard every other story out here in the world. Impossible right? That’s the reality of life, and you are not out of possibilities; so, sustain if you want to succeed. Always strive to see another day, if you want to live another day; for none prays that they die in their sleeps. Whenever you wake, be thankful; for you have been given another chance to try again. Nevertheless, never be tired of trying every day; for you were not given life to be wasteful of it. You have what the dead wish for, life; why don’t you make the most of it? Sustain and keep your story alive, for it ends with you; but before it ends, give yourself the means to live well till the end.

Success doesn’t happen in  a day, for it’s a continuous process; and not everyone succeeds. Deal with it, for failure is a reality too; without failure there is no success. Haven’t you heard that many fail where many succeed, and many succeeded where many failed? It is never a testimony, if people can’t testify with you; that is the essence of celebrating success. Yes, many are successful, but it is not easy to succeed; how does one explain failure? At what extent does one accept failure? I don’t know about the opinion of others, and I don’t care about them. For me, never you accept failure. How can you accept what you can’t explain? Don’t you know? Nobody likes to hear a failure story, unless they want to laugh about it; and make themselves feel good that it is not just them. Suffer till you see success, strive till salvation; and never close your eyes till the sun shines. If it will take working all night to see the light, so be it; stay awake till it works out. Success is a mindset; and not many who acclaim it, have reached it. But if one believes it, so be it. As you wish, so you must work; till your worries begin to wonder, why you are no longer worried.

Dearly Beloved; you must survive, then sustain to succeed. There’s no end to struggles on earth, that explains why the living pray peace for the dead; no stress in eternal rest. Nonetheless, struggles spice up our stories; for success lies at the end of suffering.
