6043. In MoneyBooks General Ledger we introduced a new table of reference codes to automatically assign transaction type, bank and bank account as well as the GL account during transaction importing from another MoneyBooks database, a laborious process that used to be done manually since implementing the CSV GL journal importing for linked accounts. We populated the table then revised the importing code to make use of the table, among other improvements, compiling as the next MBGL v3.51. Afterwards importing the dozens of transactions now took a few seconds and not dozens of minutes, as only a handful of records needed manual updating. The following week we implemented the data entry option for the table, as the External Account Transaction Import Reference List in MoneyBooks GL; we also implemented Supervisor-only editing of account-based details on the Transaction List (something that had been needed for long), and addressed an error that sometimes happened on the Transaction Form that had to do with the multiunit column.
6194. We began installing the MR-Payroll module on a FrontAccounting 2.3.19 version, in readiness for the New Zealand prospect mentioned last month. (To check it out, you can log in with user name demoview and password demoViewer using capital letter V.) On completion of installation, the features of the module were tested against the version later in the month, with issues that came up being resolved. One of the issues was that the chart_master table for ledger accounts in that version was not of the InnoDB type so all foreign keys referencing it had to be dropped. Discussion began with another prospect for the creation of a new estimating software similar to but different from Printwiser. Work on the software began later in the month.
6220. We implemented Card King win data entry features in Gerian Assistant as v1.17—Card King Win List and Card King Bonus Spin Win List—and also reviewed the Bookmark List a bit. Previously we did the Card King win data entry using two user-defined tables in MoneyBooks Data Manager. The advantage of the new Gerian implementation is automatic totaling and counting of records, as well as being easier to access as each list could be brought up with a keyboard shortcut, Alt+Shift+C and Alt+Shift+S.
6253. A Printwiser client reported a startup issue with their installation. We investigated and successfully resolve the issue, including resetting of the database log file that had grown to over 1.1 GB, and the client expressed appreciation for the prompt response.
