5011. Configured three databases for the FrontAccounting client installation, two for training and testing and one for live company work.

5044. MoneyBooks Payroll user called to say their application wasn’t starting up and a visit was scheduled. Began researching how to create FrontAccounting extensions so we could start work on adding the required new modules for the client, setting out the menu structure for the Payroll in a text file, and downloading a tutorial at the application website among other things.

5055. MoneyBooks Payroll user arrived our office and we sorted out the “Could not start Payroll” issue. The problem was that the Norton Security software had quarantined the required mbpa.exe file on April 26 for some reason and they’d not realized it.

5070. Did FrontAccounting work setting up the menus for MR-Payroll, Assets Register and Authors and Royalties modules and uploaded these to the client’s database on the server, doing manual extension installation.

5092. MoneyBooks Payroll user came and we fixed a lock-out issue with their application. A prospect on Fiverr used Google Forms and several complicated spreadsheets to manage their business, and contacted us for a better solution. Having seen the spreadsheets, we had a look at one of the Google Forms they used to gather orders, emailing the prospect the first draft of specification for a proposed web-based database application.

5103. Transferred the inventory item list that FrontAccounting client emailed yesterday to their databases, uploading changes and the inventory list to their server.

5151. Began introductory training at Sango-Ota for a client on the GL, Inventory, Purchasing and Sales modules of web-based FrontAccounting ERP version 2.3.25.

5195. Successfully concluded training at Sango-Ota for FrontAccounting client. Most of the over two dozen trainees had undergone Sage Accounting training at the company and those present today unanimously declared that compared to Sage, FrontAccounting was easier to use and they understood it better. During this training they were able to practice things and they reported that they had not practiced any during the Sage training. Set up more client inventory items in the application, configured the application to display local time (as opposed to New York time where the client’s web server was located), did further trouble-shooting of the emailing function.

5232. Began investigation into non-delivery of ordered item by EMS Nigeria reported by TripleClicks client.

5243. On FrontAccounting, we resolved the invoice email non-delivery issue earlier noted by us (actually due to missing contact names), resumed work on the Payroll module with table design.

5254. Visited EPPMS client to finally transfer their working database to their new server computer, and attend to recovery of backups for a formatted client system.

5265. Completed creating MySQL versions of virtually all of the MoneyBooks Payroll tables to be used by the MR-Payroll module of FrontAccounting, 25 presently.

5276. Following a recent automated update by cPanel at our web host’s server, the BoxTrapper program that was very effective in stopping junk mail was no longer available, as the host claimed it could no longer be enabled on an individual account basis. Spam had started showing up in our official mailbox the past two weeks. We went reading about Apache SpamAssassin that was their proposed alternative, and configured it at our website, but so far it hasn’t stopped the junk mail like BoxTrapper did, if at all.

5280. Created SQL code for Randomizer, to do a frequency distribution (1-10, 11-20, ..., 81-90) for the last 50 numbers drawn and then generate 10 random numbers based on the results.

5291. Downloaded Dev-PHP IDE version 2.6.1.29 and began using it for FrontAccounting work, and it sure beats our regular editor TextPad when it comes to PHP, even having its own web server for running PHP code; later downloaded the XDebug plugin debugger from its own site. Advanced in FrontAccounting work, deciding to introduce our own table class rather than creating a separate SQL query processing file for each simple table.

5302. Revised Randomizer to address some issues with the Bet Results and Draw Bets windows: For Results, inability to directly add more than one results sets at a time; for Bets, having to tab out of an entry column before it got updated.
