Introducing, the Printwiser Estimating 10.0 Capital/Energy Estimate Summary Format upgrade, effective April, 2024. It introduces three new variables in computing the cost price, working capital cost (to cover bank interest on funds), energy cost and sales discount, to better meet the changing economic environment. Energy cost could have previously been represented by a rarely-used charge like excise duty, but is now properly represented on its own. Both working capital and energy cost are calculated as percentages of production cost. The upgrade introduces new formula for calculating some items, some new terminology on the estimate summary working sheet, includes working capital list and form for interest calculation and prorating, and a new hard/limp cover estimate summary report format.
Following recent discussions with a client, work on the Printwiser 10.5 upgrade began and was nearly concluded, including the new multi-database feature that allows switching to any defined database from within the program, a new material/labor grouping option for the flexible estimate spreadsheet and optionally including entry of hard cover and limp cover ratios for estimate extra charges items, for the hard/limp cover estimate working sheet report. Before this, technical support was provided for a website client whose unchanged password was no longer being recognized. The Inventory and General Ledger modules of MoneyBooks were also revised.
SFI is now quitting affiliate business and moving everyone that is interested to be under its affiliate membership at another company called Wealthy Affiliate. They will be concentrating only on the games division, Eager Zebra (EZ), so they will be moving ECommergy subscriptions to a new Eager Zebra subscription, ranging from $2.99 to $8.99 monthly. The last commission SFI will be paying will be for this month of November.

Yesterday, November 22, while playing the fifth free game of Card King, I finally won the King’s Ransom, with a bounty of 119 ZCredits! This is for the first time since I began playing several years ago. This win is worth about $36.80, as a pack of

In the morning of October 31, I noticed a new Top 20 Player badge among my HIDDEN achievements. I was surprised a bit, as I did not really put in maximum effort during the month. Maybe if I had done so I would have been among…

Few weeks back, SFI began preparing affiliates for a new system that had been under development for months. Its login page changed. A countdown in days, hours and minutes began showing atop the home page. The BizQuiz daily question got suspended, pending the new system. Even a “sneak peek” video was made and put on the site for people to see what was coming. Finally on June 1, 2024, the system went into effect, a more simplified one, focused on sales of its ECommergy e-commerce library. This has the potential of providing affiliates commissions from $5 to $70 per sale.

Before April, I last purchased TCurrency in 2017. (That is a digital version of the US dollar strictly for use at SFI.) Back then, my account would be credited with the TCurrency dollars immediately after I paid for the order. (Those merchants are presently no longer…
Work on Printwiser 10.0 upgrade was completed. Gerian 1.6 revision was done, with changes mainly to the Bit Bank Ledger for which the USD column was introduced, as SFI had changed their recording to use USD instead of SATs in January, and minor changes to the HIDDEN Form, Income List, Settings form and the Affiliate List.
Approval was received for our Printwiser client proposal submitted last month—for a new capital-energy summary estimate upgrade that would provide an alternative method of calculating the summary estimate working sheet items, including providing for cost of capital and cost of energy, among other features—and work commenced, nearly completed by end of month. Technical support was provided for another Printwiser 8.1 client, installation was done for a Printwiser 6.60 client, domain name and hosting renewals were done for two web clients, while a Printwiser prospect from the past came back with new management showing renewed interest.
Work on our customized web-based search engine code-named WEB241 continued and was generally completed, following a rebuild using CodeIgniter 4, as the first one built with CI 3 did not work on the new secure server. Discussions were held with a Printwiser client—and proposal submitted—for a new capital-energy summary estimate upgrade that would provide an alternative method of calculating the summary estimate working sheet items, including providing for cost of capital and cost of energy, among other features. Support was provided for another Printwiser 8.1 client on the fresh installation of the client application on a new system. The next release version of LwriterGF v1.01 was created and delivered, with the implementation of the A3 paper size for pallet labels.
Revisions and the first 2024 builds were done for MoneyBooks Data Manager, gift calls section, and Gerian Assistant, the HIDDEN Form. An issue with PAYE tax calculation in MoneyBooks Payroll was investigated and resolved. The second half of the month was devoted to creating a customized web-based search engine, code-named WEB241.
