8052. We investigated a Firefox password saving issue in a new installation in a Windows 7 laptop. The user had been saving logins when prompted but none would later be listed and it would just say “unable to change primary password” on attempt to set the master password. Firefox also reported error on attempt to add website login passwords manually. The issue was resolved by replacing the profile directory content with that of a backup from another computer running same version of Windows and Firefox. This also restored all the browser extensions and tabs and fixed the non-display of notification popups as well.

8181. Began revising the HIDDEN Form in Gerian to work better with small screens, of less than 768px height, compiling it as v1.70. After it was observed that when the user switched from the small to the big screen, the resizing was still done according to the small screen, it became clear that the screen dimensions needed to be updated with the switch as well. The revision was finalized 2 days later with a new Tool menu option called “Update screen size” that also shows the active size dimensions, as seen here.

8236. In MoneyBooks Sales, we troubleshoot the quotation report not showing the signature image in a particular computer. The issue was resolved after finding that it was due to a missing C:MicrosoftwareImage directory.

8262. Discussion was concluded with a Printwiser client for the training of two users on the Estimating module. Web-based and in-person training options were given and they preferred the traditional in-person training. Client order was received the following week, but after some preparations the client requested in September that the training be done in October as one of the trainees had gone on leave.

9081. We investigated and resolved MoneyBooks Payroll posting error that came up when no PAYE tax was calculated. It was found due to no deductions being present at all for an individual, and was corrected by loading the latest version of a database function.

9184. An error during posting in MoneyBooks Accounts Payable was investigated. It occurred when order deliveries were being posted and was resolved by correcting the applicable SQL code. Days later, we reviewed the GL journals generated by the module, taking note of some changes to be effected, for credit order and bill amounts that were negative.

9195. Support was provided for a Printwiser technical user on the feature of switching databases in the latest version 10.5. The following week, the user reported that while Supervisors were able to switch databases, those that were not could not do so successfully. Further guidance was provided on necessary security settings for non-Supervisors.
